Public appA field guide to 169 mushroom species, an on-device identification tool and an offline field journal.
I’m Vedran Zrinski. I’ve worked in the automotive service trade for twenty years, and in my spare time I design, code and publish my own web apps — from a field guide for mushrooms to a family recipe vault.
AI is a tool, not a substitute for thinking: I own the requirements, decisions, design, testing and security, and AI speeds up the building.
Each has a case study: the problem, the solution, key decisions and what I learned.
A field guide to 169 mushroom species, an on-device identification tool and an offline field journal.
An installable PWA for logging flights, managing a fleet and pilot documents, tracking maintenance and looking up rules for 195 countries.
A family recipe vault: AI transcribes handwriting, recipes are shared within the family and printed as a book.
Smaller, focused apps built for a specific need.
Shared grocery lists with voice input and receipt scanning.
A woodworking PWA for interactive 3D models, technical drawings and metric cut planning.
A web radio player for public stations and personal favourites.
A minimalist web TV player for HLS streams, M3U imports and locally stored favourites.
Tools for car washes, tyre shops and workshops, born from my real working experience. Carwash and Tirehotel are currently being moved to a more modern, more user-friendly interface. alatnica.app was recently moved from Google Apps Script to a new trial interface you can try out.
Workshop tool catalogue, check-outs, calibration and stocktaking. Recently moved from Google Apps Script to a new trial interface (PWA) you can try.
Small, fast tools that run in your browser and need no sign-up.
Public repositories on GitHub — browse the code and see how I work.
I start from a real problem and the person who has it, not from the technology.
I sketch a flow and interface that makes sense for older users and in the field.
I prototype fast, and I check every decision, test and security rule myself.
An offline-capable PWA, clear privacy and a release someone can actually use.
For over twenty years I’ve worked with people and processes in the automotive service trade, and today I am a certified service advisor, senior specialist: every day I turn other people’s problems into a clear repair plan. There I saw how many good ideas die because of unsuitable tools.
So I started building my own. Most projects came from a concrete need — mine, my family’s or my colleagues’. I’ve learned React, TypeScript, PWAs, Firebase and working with AI models, and I’m especially interested in turning an idea into a product that is simple, safe and useful.
For years I have also run a cooking channel on YouTube, @Vekiukuhinji, with over 600,000 views and more than a thousand subscribers. It taught me to explain things step by step, and it is where the idea for Mamina Teka came from.
I’m not actively job-hunting right now, but I’m open to interesting roles and projects in app development, AI and product design.
Describe it to me. If I can solve it, we’ll try to build the app exactly the way you imagined it. Everything I publish is free. If you want an app tailored just for you, get in touch by email.
